Imam Hussain AS in the international ideology - British writer, Freya Stark, said:
“The Shiites throughout the Islamic world revive the memory of Al-Hussein and his killing and mourn him the first ten days of the month of Muharram… There he pitched his camp while his enemies surrounded him and held the water: the details are as living to-day as then, 1257 years ago; nor can anyone with much profit visit these Holy Cities unless he knows something of the story, for its tragedy is built into their very foundation. -Indian leader, Mahatma Gandhi, said:

Mahatma Gandhi’s first Salt Satyagrah was inspired by Imam Hussain’s non violent resistance to the tyranny of Yazid. Gandhi is said to have studied the history of Islam and Imam Hussain (A), and was of the opinion that Islam represented not the legacy of a sword but of sacrifices of saints like Imam Hussain (A).
Mahatma Gandhi writes:“My faith is that the progress of Islam does not depend on the use of sword by its believers, but the result of the supreme sacrifice of Hussain (A), the great saint.”

“I have looked into the biography of Imam Al-Hussein, the great martyr of Islam, and I have scrutinized the tragedy of Karbala and reached the conclusion that if India wishes to achieve victory, it has to model after Al-Hussein.”

-Charles Dickens (English novelist) writes: “If Husain had fought to quench his worldly desires…then I do not understand why his sister, wife, and children accompanied him. It stands to reason therefore, that he sacrificed purely for Islam.”

-Indian Professor Mr. Ameer Ali, commenting on the opinion of Gibbon, saying:
The massacre of Karbala have shaken violently shook the Islamic world, helped to undermine the foundations of the Umayyad dynasty ..

-Antoine Bara (Lebanese Christian writer) writes: “No battle in the modern and past history of mankind has earned more sympathy and admiration as well as provided more lessons than the martyrdom of Hussain in the battle of Karbala.” (Hussain in Christian Ideology)

- The Hungarian writer György Lukács said: “the concepts of Hussain were centered on a free nature aimed to make the people of his nation happy in their life, to be able to face the drastic rulers whose slaved them, and whose Hussain confronted them with all his strength and determination”

-The Japanese writer Koiana: “He stated in some of his texts: The revolution of Imam Hussain AS enlightened the path of salvation to the oppressed, firmed their attitudes, pulled them out of misguidance, and cleared to their minds routs of justice.”

-The French author Victor Hugo said, “ the principles of Hussains’ revolution became an approach to every rebel who want to take his rights from his oppressors”

- Tolstoy, the Russian thinker and author said: “No doubt Hussain was among greatest rebel men in purpose to correct the governess who were deviated away from the right path, and for his attitudes he obtained that martyrdom which the free once wishes”

- The Russian thinker Ogera said, “ Hussain became a model was emulated by every oppressed nations, which suffered from abuse and inequity of the rulers who built their shaky thrones on the skulls of the oppressed. Which made their descendants to continue their insurrection until they were able to topple this platoon who made them to suffer severely.”

-Roberto Bolaño Ávalos, Chilean novelist said, “ Killing Hussain by Yazid is the greatest political mistake committed by Umayyad, which forgotten, and vanished every sign or details of them”

- The Afghani thinker Jamalul Deen Alafghani said, “ there is no Muslim unless he got love for Hussain in his heart who sacrificed everything he have had for justice, and fighting renegades who aimed to tamper the curriculum of Mohamed, but Allah disgraced them”

- The Egyptian writer Abbas Mahmod Al’aqad said, “ the revolution of Imam Hussain is one of the unique revolution in History which there is no similar to it until now whether religious calls or political revolutions. Umayyad state did not last for long, not even for the average of life of a normal human. The period between Hussain revolution and the fall of Umayyad was not more than sixty years or a little more”

- Edward Gibbon Brown, the professor of Arabic and oriental studies at the University of Cambridge, praises Imam Hussain in these words:

“… a reminder of the blood-stained field of Kerbela, where the grandson of the Apostle of God fell at length, tortured by thirst and surrounded by the bodies of his murdered kinsmen, has been at anytime since then sufficient to evoke, even in the most lukewarm and heedless, the deepest emotions, the most frantic grief, and an exaltation of spirit before which pain, danger and death shrink to unconsidered trifles."

- The Egyptian author Abdul Hameed Jodah Alsahhar said, “ Hussain could not pledge his allegiances to Yazeid, and to follow his rules, because doing such things means to justify immorality and debauchery, empowering injustice institutions, and supporting tyranny government. Hussain did not agree on these actions even if his family and children became captives, and being killed with his companions”

2. He also said, “Hussain AS was the only heir of that revolution which his grandfather The Greatest Messenger SAWA against the mindless ignorance age, and paganism racism, to save the weak once on earth from injustice, oppression , and slavery.”

3. “Imam Hussain AS did his great stance which confused minds, for its deep meanings, heroism, sacrifice, which history never told about something similar to it for the sake of faith, principles, and the freedom of human and dignity.”

Islamic writer Sheikh Hussain Ma’toq, “the revolution of Hussain AS is no more means individual movement, or individual tragedy, thus someone could say it finished, and expired. But it is symbolizes martyrdom for the sake of righteousness, therefore it will live in conscience and heart of every human as long as he live”

Islamic researcher Sheikh Abdul Wahab Alkashi,” Everything we have today of islam and Muslims in the right way, they owe the revolution of Hussain AS for their survival. Their existence is one of the important fruits of that revolution. “
